Web Standards
The World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) has established technologies for creating and interpreting web-based content. These technologies are carefully designed to deliver the greatest benefits to the greatest number of web users while ensuring the long-term viability of any document published on the Web.
At Tangerine we ensure that all websites adhere to these guidelines, delivering sites that are accessible to more people and more types of Internet devices. Sites developed along these lines will continue to function correctly as traditional desktop browsers evolve, and as new Internet devices come to market.
Accessibility
Current legislation requires websites to be accessible to people with disabilities. In the UK alone, an estimated 80% of websites are in breach of this law. Our talented new media team have experience in developing for a wide range of accessibility requirements, working together with the Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) to ensure that our websites meet within the current guidelines.
